Happy Monday!
A quick note: I’m taking the end of the year off from writing this newsletter. A little PTO and a lot of end of the year final projects that need my attention. So this is the last one for a bit, but I’ll be back in your inboxes on January 9.
In the meantime, here is your weekly social media inspiration to get your creative juices flowing. We’re going back to some evergreen ideas to keep you inspired through the holidays!
Remember, these ideas are just to help kick start you into something that works for your niche so it lands with your audience!

🌲 Evergreen Content
Content that can be used at any time. It’s not linked to a specific timely thing, like the news or season.
Highlight Local Business and Attractions
Real estate agents are in a unique position to highlight their communities. As part of the communities, and as a trusted source for recommendations, create content based on things you already know, and you might learn a little something too.
Interview a local business owner. Share your favorite order at a local restaurant. Spill a well known secret about the best place to find something.
Tip: Be sure to ask permission to film, and don’t forget to tag them in your post.
Day in the Life
Film yourself and the things you do throughout a busy day. Even just a 3 second video or a quick photo from your day can weave into the overall story of what it’s like to be a real estate agent in your area. Add a voiceover and some trending music to add context and keep it interesting.
Tip: Add interest by taking different shots from different angles throughout the day. When filming, don’t just film left to right, try right to left, up and down, etc. When you switch view points every few seconds, you’ll keep your audience’s attention for longer.
Foundation Update
Work with your Foundation Rep to create an update you can share with your followers.
Highlight our 50-in-50 fundraiser, or share your office’s recent participation in an event. Interview your Foundation Rep, or create your own video explaining what the Foundation is, what is does, and how it’s central to our company.
I Just Learned…
As real estate agents you’re constantly continuing your education, through courses, mentorships, problem solving, and more. What’s something you recently learned that might help someone else? Share it!
Something You Should Know…
Share a piece of advice buyers, sellers, and owners should know. Even if it seems simple, your content could be the reminder they needed, but it can also open their eyes that they might be missing a key piece of information that could benefit them. Use the FAQs from your clients, or tap into a recent interaction when you were shocked to find out someone didn’t know this thing that you thought was common knowledge.
Motivational Quotes
Who gets you motivated? What are some of their best quotes that you remember when you’re going through it? These pieces are easy to put together, and have multiple benefits: reaching people who are going through it and needed to see it and they let people know more about you through what you channel daily.

🎄 Timely Content for the Season
Content ideas that’s seasonal for the holidays happening in the next couple of weeks.
Gift Guides
There’s a few ways into gift guides, I recommend coming up with something that feels natural to you, whether that’s sharing the gifts available from your favorite boutique, or profiling an archetype and what they would want based on their other interests and which local business could fulfill that.
Tap into your small business highlights by sharing what gifts they offer, even if it’s just a gift card.
2022 Year in Review
There are several sounds out there that can help with a year in review Reel or TikTok. Share moments from the year you want to celebrate, and let the app auto-sync the sound to build a story.
Tip: Share a variety of content, both personal and professional, and don’t be afraid to crop some photos to fit in there as well.
2023 Preparation for the New Year
You might think, no one cares about the goals I set for myself, or how I’m preparing to take on another year. I would challenge that.
Your video about how you plan to thrive in 2023 could reach someone who needed that motivation, it could reach someone who has similar goals who would like to work with you on them, it could reach your clients who are thinking about whether they want to work with you again or not, and this could help them better understand your commitment to your work and your sphere.
Tip: Add a note to yourself at the end of 2023 to stitch/duet/remix it with an update on how you did.
Holiday Bucket List
Similar to local highlights, what are some holiday inspired activities in your area that are on your bucket list? While you’re doing something you were already going to do, snap a few photos and videos and put together something for your audience so they can add that to their activity list this season.
Home Maintenance Tips
‘Tis the season for wet basements, leaking roofs, and freezing pipes. Share your tips for homeowners looking to protect their investments from major damage that’s common in your area.

🚀 Trending:
TikTok:
Lip sync to this sound and use text to share advice you’ve been given, or seen, or a misconception and end the video with “you make me un poco loco!”
Lip sync this sound and add text for context showing a concept that you’re trying to explain, but someone just isn’t getting it. Add an archetype to the person not getting it, or make fun of yourself for not getting something the first time around.
Reels:
Could be one month, could be two months
A classic line from The Office, lip sync and use text to share something that is hard to predict, like a home buyer wondering when they’ll find their dream home.
Perfect for a theme or niche, collect b-roll and photos of something that makes you say oh my god. While I recommend staying on the positive side of this and sharing things that make you happy, a lot of people are using it for things that bother them or pet peeves.
